Checking your Nol card travel history in the UAE
Checking your Nol card travel history in the UAE is quite straightforward! Here are the different ways you can do it:
Online:
Through the RTA website:
Visit the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) website:
- Click on the “Public Transport” section.
- Select “NOL” from the dropdown menu.
- Choose “View Transaction History.”
- Enter your Nol card travel number and the desired date range.
- Click “Search” to view your travel history details, including journey start and end points, date and time, fare charged, and remaining balance.
RTA Smart App:
Download the RTA Smart App on your smartphone (available for iOS and Android) from here.
Login using your RTA account or register if you don’t have one yet.
- Click on the “My Nol” section.
- Select “Transaction History.”
- Choose your Nol card travel and the desired date range.
- View your travel history details similar to the website.
- Offline:
Automated Teller Machines (ATMs):
- Insert your Nol card travel into any RTA-approved ATM.
- Select “Transaction History.”

Important Notes:
You can only view up to the last 30 days of your travel history online and through the app. Viewing transactions through ATMs and Metro station readers might have limited information compared to the online methods.

Nol card travel balance transfer to another nol card
This is the method by which you can move your remaining balance from one Nol Card to another.
- Activate NFC technology on your phone
- Download and launch the Public Transport app created by RTA.
- Choose Nol-to-Nol transfer
- When you tap the Nol Card positioned at the back of your phone, the app will display the remaining balance available on the card.
- To recharge your Nol Card, simply tap it behind your phone.
- The application will show a box automatically, where you will need to enter the transfer amount.
- After it has been finished, the additional Nol Card will be topped up.

Steps for nol card refund
In order to deactivate a valid and functioning Nol card travel, it is necessary for you to visit the Ticket Office Machines that can be found at any Metro station.
- Give your Nol card travel to the staff member at the station.
- The station agent will verify if the card remains valid and currently in use.
- In order to receive a cash refund, the amount remaining on the card must be less than 100 AED.
- If the amount remaining on the card is 100 AED or less, the station agent will provide a refund in cash.
- If the amount of money on the card is more than 100 AED, you must use alternative channels authorized by the RTA, such as the RTA Website, nol Pay app, or Self Service Machines.
- There will be a charge for the cash refund, amounting to either 2.5% of the card balance or 5 AED, whichever amount is greater.

Nol card travel balance validity check
You can verify the validity of your Nol Card by using the ticketing machines and counters at Metro stations and parking meters in Dubai. When you insert the Nol Card into the parking machine, a message will display indicating the number of days remaining before the card expires. This notification will remind you to apply for a new card.
In addition, the cardholders can continue to use the card until all the credit on it is depleted. Nevertheless, they will not have the option to add more credit to the card.
